2009 MLA Annual Conference Sponsorship Levels

Platinum ($5,000+)

Platinum sponsorship allows MLA to bring renowned speakers to our members. If you are interested in sponsorship of an event, please contact us.

In appreciation of your sponsorship you will receive:
• Your logo on conference materials.
• One FREE booth in the exhibit hall
• A full-page ad in the final Conference Program
• Inclusion in a thank you to our conference sponsors
• Special recognition on our web site with a link to your web site
• Special recognition on signage at the event in key areas and at your exhibit area
• Public recognition at the program or event
• The opportunity to briefly address the audience immediately prior to your sponsored event
• If you sign up for sponsorship before March 1st, you will also be thanked as part of the pre-conference materials in the spring MLA newsletter, Bay State Libraries.

Gold ($1,000 - $4,999)

• A half page ad in the final Conference Program
• Inclusion in a thank you to our conference sponsors

Platinum Level ($5,000+)

Opening Keynote speaker - $7,500
The largest single program with attendance nearing 300 people, this sponsorship enables us to bring in a nationally-recognized speaker to address important issues for librarians in the world today.

Annual Meeting Luncheon - $6,000
Friday’s Annual Meeting Luncheon features the MLA Business Meeting, Mass. Board of Library Commissioners Director’s State of the State address, and presentation of MLA’s Innovation Award. This sponsorship will allow us to cut the cost of attendees’ meals and draw a larger audience.

Dinner Speaker - $5,000
On Wednesday evening, conference attendees will enjoy a delightful dinner at the Springfield Art Museum with a nationally-recognized speaker to entertain
conference attendees that this sponsorship will make possible.

Registration Welcome Package - $5,000
Your company’s logo will be printed on the special folio that will be handed out to each conference attendee when they register.

Annual Trivia/Auction Fundraising Event - $5,000
Always a crowd-pleaser, Thursday night’s annual trivia/auction fundraising event draws a large, mixed group of conference attendees and exhibitors. A sponsorship for this event allows us to offer an open bar, something attendees very much appreciate.

School Library Track - $5,000
This year’s school library track will focus on using graphic novels and comics in the curriculum. This sponsorship will enable us to cover the cost of bringing nationally-recognized speakers to the conference for this exciting track on Friday, including a very special Graphic Novel Creators panel that will be open to the public.

Gold Level ($1,000 - $4,999)

Academic Library Track - $4,000
This year’s academic library track will focus on library spaces in academic institutions, both physical and virtual. This sponsorship will enable us to cover the cost of bringing nationally-recognized speakers to the conference on Thursday.

Advocacy Pre-Conference Luncheon - $3,000
This year’s Pre-Conference will focus on Advocacy, and will feature a special keynote speaker during lunch. This sponsorship will enable us to provide a complimentary lunch to all pre-conference attendees.

Book Cart Drill Team Competition - $3,000
One of the most entertaining and lively of conference events! Teams from individual libraries vie for the chance to be crowned Massachusetts’ Book Cart Drill Team Champions! A sponsorship for this event allows us to offer an open bar, something attendees very much appreciate.

Shuttle Bus to Conference (Wed., Thu. and Fri.) - $3,000 per day
A sponsorship that extends beyond the conference! Buses will transport attendees across the State to the MassMutual Center in Springfield, providing easy access for conference-goers.

Conference Lanyards - $2,000
Your company name or logo will be printed on the lanyards used for Conference badges and seen through the week.

Individual Spotlight Speaker - $1,000 ea.
This sponsorship allows you to cover the cost of a special spotlight speaker running a program during the conference. Ask us which speakers are eligible for this sponsorship.

Silver Level ($500 - $999)

Shuttle Bus at Conference for Thursday’s dinner - $900
A sponsorship that extends beyond the conference! Buses will transport attendees from the MassMutual Center in Springfield to the Springfield City Library and Art Museum for Thursday evening’s reception and dinner.

Exclusive Exhibitor Breakfast Breaks (Thursday & Friday mornings) - $900 ea.
Have your company sponsor one of the morning breaks during exclusive exhibit time on Thursday or Friday morning. This is a great opportunity to get your company’s name out for the majority of conference attendees to see.

Exclusive Exhibitor Refresher Breaks (Wed., Thu. and Friday afternoons) - $800 ea.
Have your company sponsor one of the afternoon breaks during exclusive exhibit time on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday afternoon. This is a great opportunity to get your company’s name out for the majority of conference attendees to see.

Opening Exhibit Hall Desert - $800
Between 300 and 400 conference attendees will attend the desert reception that opens the exhibit hall on Wednesday after lunch. Send the directly to your booth with a sponsorship of this event.

YSS Gaming Night Snacks - $700
Talk about a wild event! MLA’s Youth Services Section holds a Gaming Night where conference attendees play Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Wii Sports and a variety of games. A sponsorship for this event will provide snacks to our gaming librarians!

President’s Reception - $600
The MLA President’s Reception is a terrific networking opportunity, and exhibitors in the know have taken advantage of this relaxed reception to informally interact with library movers and shakers. A sponsorship for this event will provide wine and beer for this reception.

Bronze Level (up to $499)

First-time attendee luncheon - $450
First-time conference goers will attend a special luncheon to get them involved with our association, followed by a guided tour through the exhibit hall. A sponsorship of this event will allow first-time attendees to enjoy a complimentary lunch!

Section breakfast (Paralibrarian or Technical Services Sections) - $450 ea.
The Paralibrarian and Technical Services Section hold their annual meetings at Conference, and what better way to reach a targeted audience than by sponsoring their breakfast meeting?

Youth Services Section desert - $350
The Youth Services Section holds their annual meeting at Conference, and what better way to reach a targeted audience than by sponsoring their afternoon business meeting’s desert?

Poster Session - $300
For the first time in years, MLA will feature a Poster Sessions to highlight the creative activities of libraries across the State. A sponsorship of the poster sessions will cover the costs of supplies set-up of these vibrant displays in the Exhibit Hall.
